Event Description

INGA takes her name from the Tamil word that loosely means ‘to be here’. Currently based dually out of Bengaluru & Mumbai, she finds her way to being ‘present’ in the world with her genre-fluid music. Her songs are anchored in her melodic voice, set against groovy sounds and thumping beats, sometimes emulating a blend of folk, pop & jazz and other times inspiring a laid back vibe. Never one to shy away from experimenting, her ease with unconventional song structures and a stunning vocal range make her music raw, wild & free. Influences from a diverse mix of artists - Fela Kuti’s fearless performances, Devendra Banhart’s eccentric vocals and Billie Eilish’s honest writing - have trickled down to birth the eclectic sound that is truly INGA. Vandita Narayan is an indie-pop singer, from Bengaluru. She has performed at numerous events, ranging from humble open mics to stages that applauded her artistry. While she draws inspiration from the likes of Lana del Rey, Halsey, and Billie Eilish, Vandita has risen from her incubator, and taken an experimental route to create a colorful world with soothing and breezy tunes, and to bring people together.
