Event Description

This book is a collection of twenty stories based on human relationships and the numerous emotions that accompany them. They represent various facets of Indian Urban and Semi-Urban life. With a spot of Magical Realism thrown in to enhance the flavour, this book which is based on the simple and yet complicated emotion called ‘Love,’ is sure to win your heart. The stories are ‘short,’ (true to the genre's name) and have captured moments in peoples’ lives, decision-making moments that impact them and those around them, however small. Witty, pithy and down to earth, these stories are written in a simple, lucid style, one which will appeal to the mind and heart of any Reader or Book Lover. These stories are experiences that can happen unless they already have, to any person and will offer a sense of comfort to the Reader in conveying the feeling you are not alone.

The Author

Sreeja Mohandas is a postgraduate in English Literature from Bangalore University. An English Language / Soft Skills Trainer and a Social Counsellor by profession, she has dabbled in the Media as well. She has worked as a Voice Over artist at All India Radio, Delhi and Karnataka and as a News Reader on Doordarshan News Channel, Bangalore. A lover of the Arts, she has even featured (in a character role) in an Amazon Prime series recently. She has published two novels – ‘Under the Tamarind Tree’ and ‘Veda’, the genre of Fiction. ‘Love Shots’ – a collection of short stories is her third book. Being a poet as well, her poems feature in Anthologies of contemporary poetry, such as Cuckoo in Crisis, Mosaic of Poetry Musings and Vibrant Voices (published by the Sahitya Academy, Delhi). She plans to bring out her own Poetry Collection shortly. Writing has always been her passion. She believes that an unbridled imagination is her driving force and be it poetry or poetic prose, her writing will make a positive impact on the lives it touches. She currently resides in Bangalore with her husband and her daughters.
