Event Description

Maansi Menon, disciple of renowned Kathak Dancer Simran Godhwani from Krshala Dance Theatre will be presenting her Kathak Rangapravesha on Sunday, 7th November, 2021 at The Koramangala Club, 6th Block, Koramangala, Bangalore.

Maansi, a XI grade student from Greenwood High International School, Bangalore has learnt Kathak under the accomplished Kathak exponent from Bangalore, Simran Godhwani since the age of four.  

Maansi is a combination of energy, enthusiasm and youthful innocence. Cheerful and grounded, she has been active in sports like football and badminton.  Much loved by her friends and teachers alike at the Prakriya Greenwisdom School, Bangalore where she formerly studied for 13 years, Maansi embodies grace as well as a strong sense of passion,  both of which comes through in her dance as well.

As a student of Krshala, Maansi has performed in various dance festivals and competitions in different parts of India. In addition to performing in Bangalore, Mahabaleshwar, Nanded, and Tiruvannamalai, Maansi is also a UNESCO certified dancer and she has performed internationally at the prestigious New Prague Dance Festival, 2015, winning several accolades along with her team from Krshala. She will be presenting unique Kathak compositions from the Lucknow Gharana as part of her Rangapravesha.

This is a free event and all are welcome to experience this young budding dancer transcend from being an adolescent to an artist, being just a dancer to a performer.
