Event Description

Come and join us for a Madhubani painting workshop! Learn about this traditional art form from Bihar, India and create your own masterpiece. All materials will be provided, and the workshop is suitable for all skill levels. Join us for a fun and creative experience! What will you learn? In the Madhubani painting workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of this art form, including how to convert basic signs into motifs and create simple Madhubani designs. You will also be taught the techniques of painting on MDF, applying a base coat, achieving clean color application, and understanding the basics of color wheels. During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to create two Madhubani-painted coasters. Takeaway: During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to create and take home two Madhubani-painted coasters. All The Materials will be provided.

Artist Profile: Kavita Das is a passionate artist from Mithila. Her artistic journey began with the Madhubani painting, which she inherited from her elders who have been practicing it for generations. She has also been practicing Mandala art for the past three years. In addition to her art, she holds a degree from NIFT, New Delhi, and has over 9 years of experience as a Visual Merchandiser in the retail industry.
