About the Sub-Festival    Gala-Gala-Gaddala (#3G) is a cultural carnival celebrating Karnataka's rich heritage through music, dance, theatre, and more! Co-curated by Lekha Naidu and Jangama Collective, Bangalore for BLR Hubba, this festival embodies joy, tradition, and Karnataka's Spirit.  

About the event

Tamboori Siddaraju and his ensemble from Malavalli, Mandya district, present Male Madappa Kavya, one of Karnataka's most significant folk epics. This traditional narrative celebrates Male Madappa, the divine protector of forests, through folk songs accompanied by the tamburi, a traditional stringed instrument.   

Siddaraju, a renowned folk singer from Malavalli, is celebrated for his masterful rendition of Tamboori Pada and his dedication to preserving Karnataka's folk traditions. His authentic performance brings to life the ancient oral tradition that has been passed down through generations, combining spiritual devotion with environmental wisdom.    

Through this evening of traditional storytelling and music, experience the timeless tale of Male Madappa, as it has been performed in villages and religious gatherings across Karnataka.
