Boo! Ya Watchin? presents Mango Prawn Curry: an afternoon that brings together Lost The Plot’s short film curation - Food For Thought - and Gautam Krishnankutty curated eats. This short film double bill titled ‘Food for Thought’ presents two evocative shorts that use food to address themes of development and progress. Both filmmakers have chosen traditional regional specialties - like the seafood thali in Virundhu and the aam panna drink in Panha - to question our current understanding of development; who it benefits and who gets left behind. Alongside the screenings, Gautam’s food experience draws on regional flavours, memory and the idea of food as home.
Your ticket includes entry to see both films, and experience the complete menu as follows:
1. Crab (NV) or Mango (V) Rasam Shots
2. Yera (Prawn Vada - NV) or Green Banana Vada (V) with a Mango Chutney.
3. Prawn (NV) or Mango Pulisherry (V) with Matta Red Rice and Mango Pickle.
