Event Description
MARMA is a multi-lingual and multi-generic confluence of devotional, spiritual and philosophical poetry of Bhakti and Sufi saints of the Indian subcontinent presented in the style of Contemporary fusion. The compositions cover a wide range of poets such as Kabir, Purandaradasa, Andal, Sadashiva Brahmendra, Meerabai, Warkari poets and so on. The compositions are presented in light Classical and folk genres like Abhanga, Baul, Devaranama, Bhajan, Qawali, Heer, Krithi and so on. The renditions are interspersed with narration and brief descriptions of the songs to engage the audience.
