Event Description

The land nourished by the river is rich not only in greenery but also in song. Melodies of the Kaveri takes us on a musical journey along this ancient river, exploring the sacred Kshetras on its banks through the works of composers who found inspiration in its flow.

From the evocative kritis of Sri Tyagaraja and Sri Muthuswami Dikshitar, to the soulful outpourings of the Haridasas such as Sripadaraya and Sri Kanakadasa, and the contributions of Tamil poets and composers, the performance brings together a vibrant tapestry of voices. Through their music, we trace the river’s path as both a physical and spiritual source of life, devotion, and creativity.
