The summer heatwave is upon us!

While the excruciating heat might confine you indoors during the day, this Saturday, come, join us for an evening of soothing carnatic music at RS Connect’s Mishra Madhurya, where Carnatic vocalist R Chandani will perform some rare bhavageethe, vachana, patriotic songs and dasara pada. She will be accompanied by Shree Parashuram (keyboard) and Shree Karthik Bhat (tabla).

R Chandani Garthikere has been performing as a singer since childhood. She learnt Light Music under the guidance of her grandfather Garthikere Raghanna and Carnatic Classical Music under Vidushi Smt. R.A. Ramamani. She performs Light Music, Carnatic Classical, patriotic songs, vachanas, devotional songs and more.

Chandani performs regularly in various programs and cultural festivals. She has been singing and acting in various plays organized by the Kalagangotri Theatre group including the famous musical drama ‘Mysooru Mallige’. Chandani has also participated in the famous ‘Hampi Utsav’ and ‘Kannada Habba’ organized by the Government of Karnataka.
