About the Facilitator
Vaibhav Batra is an educator, composer, and live performer who uses modular synths and field recordings to play improvised live sets that oscillate between drones, glitch, and a-temporal ideas. A proponent of free improv, he is also one of the founding members of Dilli Improvisers Orchestra, the first such improv ensemble in the country. In the past, he has taken his improv sets to Magnetic Fields, and intimate rooms in Delhi and Mumbai. His work has also travelled to the UK and Australia, as part of a Sound and IMage festival.
