ABOUT THE FILM:

Lipstick Under My Burkha is a bold and unapologetic celebration of women who dare to dream beyond the boundaries imposed on them. Directed by Alankrita Shrivastava, the film follows four women from different generations as they secretly pursue desire, ambition, love, and freedom in a small town society determined to police their choices.

ABOUT THE CURATOR:

Falah Faisal is a comedian, filmmaker, and journalist, and the creative force behind Musalman and Falahdeen. Growing up on a steady diet of X-Men and Mad Magazine, he never imagined he’d one day create his own superhero series. Now, he lives the fantasy of being a comic book writer, pushing the boundaries of satire within the superhero genre.
