Event Description

In New York City, food critic Julianne Potter shares a long-standing pact with her best friend Michael O'Neal: if they’re both unmarried by 28, they’ll marry each other. Days before her birthday, Michael calls with unexpected news: he’s engaged to the young, radiant Kimberly Wallace, and wants Julianne by his side as maid of honor.

As she travels to Chicago for the wedding, Julianne is hit with a wave of realisation, she’s in love with him. Determined to win him back, she enlists her witty editor friend George Downes and begins subtly (and not-so-subtly) trying to derail the wedding. But as plans unravel and emotions intensify, Julianne is forced to confront the consequences of her actions, her own vulnerabilities, and what love truly means, even if it doesn’t end the way she hoped.
