About Naadopasana:

Naadopasana will include different styles and interpretations of Meera bhajans, Daasara padas, Vachanas, and Abhangs, presented in the Hindustani classical style. Through these timeless devotional compositions, the concert will explore devotion, emotion, and musical depth, blending bhakti with the richness of semi-classical expression.

About the artists:

Vidya Deshpande

A Bachelor of Science and a post-graduate in Education, Vidya is deeply passionate about children, teaching, Indian classical music and Indian heritage. Having started her career as a teacher, she now runs Saptami, an institute she created as a platform for her music interests. Saptami is an endeavor to pursue the cause and passion for Indian culture.

Vidya’s interests range from the vast Dasa sahitya creations of the saints of Karnataka, the divinity and wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita and the deeply rich tradition of Hindusthani classical music. Vidya is a learner as well as a teacher of Indian classical music.Vidya likes to spend her free time with children imparting them life skills through her association with the “Keep Moving movement”. 

Vidya is the vocalist for Naadopasana.

Vishnu Joshi 

Vishnu began his Tabla training under Pt. H. R. Badiger. He has completed his Tabla Vidwat Examinations in exams held by the Government of Karnataka. He’s currently pursuing his advanced Talim under Pt. Keshav Joshi, a highly respected Tabla maestro. He is an All India Radio B High Grade Artist and has accompanied several renowned classical musicians. Apart from his career in the performing arts, he also works as an IT professional at Capgemini Technology Pvt. Ltd. 

He will be accompanying Vidya on the Tabla as part of Naadopasana.

Bharath Daroji 

Bharath began his musical training at Pandit Puttaraj Kavi Ashram, received advanced musical training under his guru, Pandit Venkatesh Alkod. 

He will be accompanying Vidya on the harmonium.
