Event Description

The Nadathur Foundation is organizing the 6th edition of "Nāda Sambhrama," a concert series dedicated to promoting and celebrating the rich tradition of Indian classical music. This event series aims to showcase exceptional talent, fostering cultural appreciation and providing a platform for both established and emerging artists.

This edition of Nāda Sambhrama will represent an enchanting evening of Carnatic music by Padma Bhushan Dr Sudha Ragunathan from 6.30 PM to 8.30 pm and all are welcome.

Padma Bhushan awardee Dr Sudha Ragunathan is one of India’s foremost Carnatic vocalists. A disciple of the legendary Padma Bhushan awardee Dr. ML Vasanthakumari, Sudha has evolved a style of her own where the soul of her music lies in the dynamism of her presentation, with exceptional motifs and matrices of raga images and swaras making it a quintessential amalgam.

Sudha Ragunathan has performed all over the world and is also the recipient of many awards and accolades as also the Padmashri and Padma Bhushan.

Sudha Ragunathan is known for her charitable works, and launched the Samudhaaya Foundation in 1999, of which she is the Founder and Managing Trustee. The foundation has assisted the underprivileged in the areas of child healthcare, infrastructural aid for homes, and heart surgeries for children. In it’s formative years, the foundation has raised funds for victims of the Gujarat earthquake and cyclone relief in Orissa.
