EVENT HAS ENDED
Except on: weekly, each Monday55/1 Isha villa, Lavelle road 560001
The solo exhibition by Anuradha Nalapt will be held at MKF Museum of Art. She is a visual artist, poet and author who has conducted various painting exhibitions in India and abroad. She is a member of the Kerala Lalita Kala Akademi and has participated in 71 exhibitions including the ABC Biennale collateral in 2015 and ’Lokame Tharavadu’ by the Kochi Biennale Foundation in 2021.
She says about her show, NamePlaceAnimalThing, "That name, that thing...those set of colours that you are comfortable with, that hand of yours holding a brush and moving only in a certain structured way, that head of the painter which keeps polishing, trimming the lines, steadying the forms, fearful of stray strokes, that surviving animal touch in you. The not knowing when to stop. The overpowering ‘saying’ the painter indulges in. All this dice rolling through you on one side and that poor disconnected, discontent heart on the other side. The dice rolls on."
