Event Description

Green Panther, a venture connecting kids with nature is hosting an engaging workshop for kids on natural journaling at Bangalore Creative Circus.

Nature journaling is one of the easiest ways to get kids to spend time in nature, and to make it more interesting, this is an activity-based Nature Journal for kids aged 5 to 12 years old that is jam-packed with creative prompts, nature art, colouring pages, and easy-to-fill-in record/observation sheets that will entice kids to go outside and spend more time in nature. This workshop will introduce kids to the world of nature journaling, take them on a walk to explore the beautiful campus of Bangalore Creative Circus while they learn tips and techniques on how to observe and record, and finish with nature art and activities.

A nature journal serves as a lens through which one can focus their ideas, observations, and experiences. One need not be an artist or a writer or naturalist to begin. These skills can be learnt by anyone, and one can develop them with deliberate practice. According to Bethan (Founder of International Nature Journaling week)"Children can nature journal as soon as they are old enough to hold a paintbrush."

You will be surprised how much there is to observe in the clouds, the movement of birds or the changes in weather and wind. As rightly said by Shruti (Founder of Green Panther) “There is nature and environment around us where-ever we are to explore, learn and connect with nature.” The more we pay attention to something, the closer to it we become.
