“Navarasa - The Mahabharata Experience” is an immersive thematic production by the Apoorva Krishna Collective, exploring the nine fundamental emotions of Indian aesthetics through the timeless universe of the Mahabharata.

The production delves into its emotional essence. Each Rasa becomes a doorway into love, laughter, fear, disgust, courage, compassion, wonder, anger, and ultimately, peace - revealing the Mahabharata as an emotional mirror reflecting the depth and complexity of human experience.

Bringing together a confluence of North and South Indian classical traditions, the ensemble features:

Under the artistic direction of Apoorva Krishna, through her originally conceptualized visuals shaping the experience, Hindustani and Carnatic styles converse seamlessly, creating a unified sonic landscape of melodic depth and rhythmic interplay. The visuals act not as literal depictions, but as atmospheric extensions of each Rasa, allowing music, imagery, and silence to merge into one immersive journey.
