Event Description

In his latest exhibition, titled “Nirakar Aakar” (i.e. Formless Form) - Nikheel Aphale engages with significant yet intangible concepts of divinity, spirituality, and humanity. The 35 featured artworks are potent compositions that are visual interpretations of faith, human existence, and society at large. Nikheel’s oeuvre celebrates divine forms as well as spiritual shlokas and prayers. However, he deviates from the figurative and reimagines the divinities in a highly stylized, textual form. The compositions aren’t overtly religious, aligning to the modern palate of discerning art connoisseurs. His artworks also explore nuances of humanity; he draws parallels between the Devanagari script and human relationships, reflecting on characteristics of the script that humans should strive towards.
