Event Description

Not Dead Yet: It's aLive!"; a series of gigs with an aim of catering to the live music scene in India. Encouraging a platform for some great live acts in our country, this IP seeks to challenge the notion that independent live music is fading away. Through this initiative, we aim to provide a platform for the most anticipated emerging artists, celebrating the vibrancy and resilience of the Indian independent music scene.

Tejas: Hailing from Bombay, India, Tejas is a singer-songwriter whose multicultural upbringing in Dubai has greatly influenced his distinctive style of English Pop music. His compositions seamlessly blend genres like Rock, Funk, R&B, Soul, and Electronica, reshaping the landscape of independent English songwriting in the subcontinent. Tejas has released two highly acclaimed albums: 'Make It Happen' (2017) and his most ambitious work, 'Outlast.' 'Make It Happen' soared to the #1 spot on the Indian Pop Charts on iTunes upon release. 'Outlast' garnered widespread recognition, earning a spot on Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the top 10 Best Indian albums of 2021. With sold-out performances across the country, Tejas has graced major venues and music festivals like Lollapalooza India, Bacardi NH7 Weekender, Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, and VH1 Supersonic.

Sanjeeta Bhattacharya: New Delhi-based multi-faceted artist Sanjeeta Bhattacharya holds a Grammy nomination to her name as part of the Berklee Indian Ensemble. Her solo material and collaborations have been heavily promoted by streaming giants Spotify and Apple Music and as a performer, she’s graced stages at several music festivals such as Nami Island World Music Festival in South Korea and the Panama Jazz Festival as well as Hornbill, Bacardi NH7 Weekender and Magnetic Fields in India. Bhattacharya's latest on-screen work includes acting in Shah Rukh Khan’s latest, Jawan and in shows on Netflix’s Feels Like Ishq (2021), Zee Five’s The Broken News (2022). She’s also set to be part of two upcoming projects, a thriller film with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Diana Penty titled Adbhut and an Amazon Prime web show called Django. She’s even shared her experiences and stories as a TEDx speaker.

Rudy Mukta (Supporting Act): Rudy Mukta is the artistic version of Indian singer/ song-writer Rudravajhala Mukta, who's quickly established herself as one of the most exciting new artists in the indie/ R&B music ranks on strength of her forward thinking, genre defying sound. Raised in Bangalore, Rudy trained in Carnatic music for over 10 years. The 20 year old's impressive self produced debut project, ’entropy’ was released independently in 2020 and continues to gather critical acclaim with each new discovery.
