Jack Gardiner (born 1993) is a highly acclaimed solo artist and session guitarist from Liverpool, U.K., now based in Switzerland. Guitar World has hailed him as “the Ibanez-toting, Neural DSP aficionado” and “one seriously gifted guitar player,” highlighting his mastery of control, theory, technique, and phrasing across a wide range of styles.
Jack began his professional career at just 15, performing with rap and R&B artists such as KOF and Janice Myers. During this time, he appeared on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge at Maida Vale Studios. At 16, he began studying under world-renowned fusion guitarist Tom Quayle, a mentorship that profoundly shaped his musical voice.
In 2017, Jack’s career took a major step forward when Stu Hamm (known for his work with Steve Vai) invited him to join his Greatest Hits Tour. That same year, Jack became a member of the iconic 80s pop/rock band China Crisis.
In 2020, he released his debut single SkyBluePink featuring Owane, followed by his solo EP Escapades. Guitar World praised SkyBluePink for its precision and heart, and described Escapades as a “fusion masterclass,” showcasing his formidable chops and exquisite note choices.
By 2024, Jack had expanded his discography with two additional EPs and toured extensively across Europe and Japan, supporting Plini and Arch Echo. He has performed at major festivals including Rewind Festival, RADAR Festival, and W-Festival.
His collaborations include Henrik Linder of Dirty Loops, Riccardo Oliva and Gianluca Pellerito (both associated with Matteo Mancuso), and he has delivered masterclasses alongside Guthrie Govan, Andy Timmons, Nick Johnston, and Greg Howe.
