In a society where most graduates embrace traditional career paths, what does it take to forge a unique path? How do you nurture passion and sharpen talent while you have hardly any examples of success in your rear-view mirror? What does it take to keep the engine revving through troughs and failures? Akhil Rabindra, 26 years old, is an Indian racing driver who has taken a path rarely traveled by most of his peers. In this conversation, Akhil takes us through his journey into the world of motorsport starting from Bangalore to becoming one of the few Indians racing in different parts of the world in an Aston Martin Vantage GT4. He will talk about his experiences in the different aspects of the sport right from training to racing. We try and understand from the young sportsman about this highly skillful and expensive sport, and what it means to steer off the beaten track!
