About the Band:

The Humming Tree and BFLAT present ONE NIGHT at BFLAT- a monthly event celebrating various nostalgic and other music genres that appeal to Bangalore audiences. The evening of July 25th will feature a tribute to the iconic pop rock band, FLEETWOOD MAC,

Fleetwood Mac is a legendary rock band that evolved from a gritty late-1960s British blues band into one of the biggest pop-rock acts in history. Their journey and musical legacy were defined by a complete lineup transformation and intense interpersonal drama felt by their fans across the world.

Founded in London by guitar virtuoso Peter Green, the band initially featured a purist blues-rock sound. Backed by a rock-solid rhythm section—drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie—the band achieved massive UK success with hits like "Albatross". However, Green suffered a mental health crisis and departed in 1970, leaving the band's leadership fractured.

The turning point arrived in 1974 when Mick Fleetwood heard a track by a little-known American folk-rock duo: guitarist Lindsey Buckingham and singer Stevie Nicks. Adding Buckingham and Nicks finalized the band's most famous lineup.

Songs were written by Buckingham, Nicks, and the band's keyboardist and singer, Christine McVie and they all performed one another's compositions and lyrics.

Despite deep internal fractures—the McVies were divorcing, and Nicks and Buckingham were ending their long-term relationship—the band channeled their heartbreak into music. The resulting 1977 album, Rumours, becametheir magnum opus, and one of the best-selling albums of all time.

The band continued to release highly successful records like Tusk (1979) and Mirage (1982) before taking extended hiatuses. They regrouped over the years for various tours and projects, solidifying their legacy as one of the most resilient and impactful bands that were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Once again, bFLAT Entertainment has handpicked a line-up of wonderful singers and musicians who will perform the band's most popular tunes dating as far back as 1975 and well into the mid 80's. The audience can expect to hear timeless classics like "Silver Springs," "Rhiannon", "Dreams," "The Chain," "Gypsy," and many, many more iconic songs.
