A city of devotion, a shrine that has drawn pilgrims for centuries.
This solo Bharatnatyam performance traces the many facets of Pandharpur, home to Lord Panduranga Vittala. Adapting Hindustani music and Marathi abhangs in place of the classical Carnatic tradition, this production honours the flavour of the Maharashtrian city. The rigour and grace of Bharatanatyam in service of a deeply local devotion.
Deity. Devotion. Dance.
