Event Description
Original music composed by Radha Thomas and Aman Mahajan, there are hints of India but the language is jazz. Some of the music was created several decades ago and some of it is brand new, but all of it will be performed in this format for the first time.
Joining Aman and Radha for the first time is Muthu Kumar, one of Bangalore’s best known and best loved percussionists with an impressive track record. He will be playing, among other instruments, an electronic drum. All the way from Bolivia is Alfredo Paredes who will play, besides the jazz guitar, the national instrument of that country called Charango. The high and lilting tonal quality of the little uke-like instrument is formidable.
Each of the musicians is highly accomplished in their own right and they come together to create something new for the very first time. It will be lush and familiar and yet totally fresh.
