Patyatann, a Mauritian musical group will be performing in Bangalore, on Sat. 23rd of March 2024 at 6pm - Alliance Française de Bangalore. The group which was formed in 2012, is made up of five versatile musicians, Sarasvati Mallac, Anthony Bouic, Kan Chan Kin, Cledy François and Stephan Paul.

This tour offers the band the exceptional opportunity to share their captivating music, reflecting the cultural richness and subtleties of Mauritius, with a new and varied audience.

Much more than a simple tour for Patyatann, it is a precious chance to establish a cultural and musical bridge between the Great Peninsula and the group's native island, but also to reconnect with common roots. The shared cultural and musical influences, the instruments with danceable and melodious sounds, testify to the deep connection between these two regions, making this tour a celebration of diversity and exchange. The group is eager to share their compositions in Sanskrit, French and Creole, as well as their Mauritian stories, sounds and rhythms with the public. Patyatann expresses his deep gratitude to the French Embassy, the French Institute and the Alliances Françaises in India for their invaluable support in the realization of this ambitious project, as well as to the IBL group, and SBM India for their assistance.
