Bangalore South 560002
On this fourth walk through Kempe Gowda's historic "Pettah" area, we invite our guests to explore one of Bangalore's most renowned temples, closely associated with the vibrant Karaga festival.
Join us as we wander through the narrow, winding lanes of the Pettah, uncovering its rich history and hidden monuments nestled behind modern facades.
Along the way, we’ll visit the factory where the famous Mysore rockets were crafted, which even inspired elements of the U.S. national anthem. We'll also stop by a site linked to India's freedom movement, and pay a visit to the local silk weavers in the neighborhood.
If time permits, we may also pay our respects at the tombs of Sufi warriors martyred during the Third Anglo-Mysore War in 1791.
And to conclude, we'll enjoy a breakfast at a legendary local eatery.
