Pottery Workshops for Skillbuilding and Therapy!
Trying your hand at pottery will not only help you build up a skill during these difficult times but be of great therapeutic help - the need of the hour ๐Ÿ™‚
Learn Hand-building and how to throw a pot on the Potter's Wheel.
All levels welcome, contact to book your place (places are limited due to social distancing measures)
You can sign up for a single trial class or sign up for a session of 10 classes. 6 sessions of those will be facilitator led and 4 sessions will be practice sessions where you can practice on your own.
You can even book a single class first- and try it out! if it works for you, you can convert that to a course - so there is a lot of flexibility.
Duration : 2 hours
Time : 9 am to 11 am or 11 am to 1 pm (for a single class)
For a course- the classes are 2.5 hour each so 8.30- 11 am or 11 am- 1.30 pm
Days-Saturdays and Sundays but you need to book a day in advance.
You can opt for any ten slots within 1.5 months from the date you joined on weekends. If you reserve as spot on weekends and you miss it, you can only compensate by making up on a weekday in the subsequent week.
Beginners will start by learning how to prepare clay and will be given a short lecture on the various stages of pottery and ceramic making.
You will first learn hand-building and then the basics of learning to make a pot on the potterโ€™s wheel, or improving your current skills, also learning to throw larger, better pots.
The students are introduced to various methods and techniques of pottery and ceramics
The beginners session includes
Wedging the clay.
Sculpting sessions include pinch, coil and slab.
wheel sessions include centering, throwing cylinders, trimming, mugs with handles and bowls.
Please note: All levels of students are welcome to participate in the above course as it can be adapted for the needs of beginners, intermediate to advanced. Anyone can join any class at any time, so long as booking is made in advance.

Maya is an enthusiastic potter whose work is inspired by elements of nature and who loves to create Magical illusions with clay. Even as a child she knew there was always something special about the oneness of working with your hands.

Terms and Conditions:
Fees are non-refundable. (The sessions can be adjusted if the session you have booked for is not working for you but it will not be refunded. Also if you have booked a weekend batch and if you miss it, the make up class will not be allowed on weekend- you will have to come on a weekday only in the subsequent week. )
Only kiln worthy objects will be fired. The studio staff will decided what is kiln worth
Single/Trial classes do not include firing services.
Classes guidelines:
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and shoes that are easy to clean
Please sign your objects before placing them for bisque firing.
Only 6 PC's of the bisque PC's will be fired as a part of the course. If you need to fire more pieces, extra firing cost will be charged.
Cost for a trial class on Weekends- 1750 per person
Cost for a session of 10 classes (2.5 hours each) - Rs. 10,000. If you are going for a session of 10 classes, a set of tools is also included.
