Event Description

Shree Rama Prateeksha is a celebrated dance ballet based on Maharishi Valmiki’s Ramayana, tracing the life of Lord Rama while highlighting the devotion of figures including Ahalya, Sita, Hanuman, Bharata, and Sugreeva. Through episodes ranging from Rama’s early years to the battle against Ravana, the production explores themes of dharma, compassion, and unwavering faith.

Presented by GoBrahma Productions and created by Prabhath Kalavidaru, the Kannada-language ballet with English subtitles has been staged over 500 times worldwide since its 1988 premiere. Featuring music by Pandit Vijaya Raghava Rao, the 120-minute production is choreographed by Udupi Laxminarayanacharya and Hema Prabhath, and directed by T. G. Venkateshachar.
