The Garden City. The Pensioner’s Paradise. Bengaluru is known by its many monikers but what does it mean to conserve the many facets of the city? This Saturday, RS Connect, in collaboration with Heritage Beku, will present a brief introduction to their citizen initiative in a session titled ‘Role of Team Heritage Beku in Preserving Heritage and Environs of Bangalore’. Environmental activist Veena Krishnan will share the work Heritage Beku has done on specific issues, the role of the ward committee in governance and Heritage Beku’s role in saving the environs of Bengaluru. This is the fourth of many sessions in collaboration with Heritage Beku, a citizen initiative to maintain and preserve Bengaluru's fading heritage. Their focus is to have an agile, dynamic, evolving framework to reflect citizen voices and channel it to positively impact preservation of the city's heritage - be it built, natural or cultural.
