Rama Amritam is the nectar, the paradoxical character, the narrative that connects several facets–some known and some less known–which gives us pure bliss or ‘ananda’. A celebration of Lord Rama through dance and music.

Sujatha Ramanathan
Concept & Choreography
Sujatha Ramanathan, a disciple of Padmashri Guru Adayar K Lakshman, Guru Lata Raman, mentored by Guru Ramya Ramnarayan, is a seasoned Bharatanatyam performing artiste and choreographer. She is also trained by Guru G Venu in the ‘abhinaya’ and in Mohiniattam by Dr. Nirmala Paniker. She has performed in prestigious sabhas and festivals in India and abroad.

With her choreographies Raas Antara, Rama Amritam, Vidivu, Hanumanin Thavam, Dakshina Dwaraka, Soorya and many more, she has established herself as an individual artiste. Her choreographies have received acclaim for musicality, intrinsic abhinaya and nuanced choreography in her narrative.

She is a qualified cost accountant and an ex-banker and was Senior Vice President in a Multinational bank. She has a Masters in Bharatnatyam and a Bachelors in Music from Annamalai University and is a graded artiste at the Doordarshan. She has been a recipient of several awards like the ‘Nritya Kala Choodamani’, ‘Bharat Gaurav Samman’ received from the Indian Ambassodor in Nepal, ‘Nritya Nipun’, and the ‘Girnar Ratna’ to name a few.

Her research paper on Life Skills and Leadership through Dance is published by the Sangeeth Natak Academy. She has also been a guest faculty at the IIM (Indian Institute of Management) where she connects Problem Solving and Leadership through expression and dance.


Raghuraman Rajagopalan
Vocals
Raghuraman Rajagopalan belongs to a family of musicians and is trained in mridangam, Carnatic music, light music is a sought after vocalist and composer for dance productions and ballets for leading dance practitioners.  He is a regular performer at the All India Radio and a recipient of  the ‘Pratibhakanshi Award’ from Rama Seva Mandal.


D V Prasanna Kumar
Nattuvangam
D V Prasanna Kumar’s deep understanding of the nuances of ‘konakkol’ enables clarity and dexterity in his rendering. A seasoned and passionate nattuvangam expert, he renders innumerable performances in India and abroad.


Satish Krishnamurthy
Mridangam & Ganjira
A multi percussion artiste, a recipient of several awards including the ‘Yuva Kala Puraskar’ from the Sangeeth Natak Academy, Satish Krishnamurthy is endowed with a rich style and has carved a unique presence in the world of music and dance. He has also conducted several tala vadya kucheris and accompanied leading artists including ‘Shivamani’.


Rudrapatna Prashanth
Veena
R. P. Prashanth along with his younger brother R. P. Pramod known as the ‘Rudrapatna Veena Brothers’ are the sons of renowned vocalist, ‘Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Asthana Vidwan’ and ‘Suvarna Karnataka Chetana Awardee’ Vid. Sri R. K. Prasanna Kumar.

The brothers have given Veena duet concerts in All India Radio, many Sabhas, T V Channels and at private and public functions in India.

They have performed at several prestigious venues in India and abroad. The brothers have won the ‘Navodaya Award’ from Shubhodaya Trust.
