Event Description

At this Sunday’s RS Connect, Shrihari Bhat N H, a young professional Carnatic classical vocalist, shall present Raga Laya Samyoga, a Carnatic vocal presentation exploring the unheard yet traditional chaste ragas of Carnatic music. Mridangam artist Pavan Madhav Masur will accompany him as well.

 

About the performers:

Shrihari Bhat N H is a young and professional Carnatic classical vocalist from Bangalore who has been learning Carnatic music for over 20 years and has been performing since the last 10 years. He is under the tutelage of Sangeeta Kalanidhi Sangeet Samrat Chitravina N Ravikiran. Shrihari showed musical talent quite early on in his childhood and has performed at some of the premier venues across Karnataka and other places. He has won several prizes and awards from various esteemed sabhas and organizations. He is an Akashvani graded artist from All India Radio.

 

Vidwan Pavan Madhav Masur, a disciple of Sri Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma, is a young and astute professional Mridangam artist who has been performing since the last 10 years. An M. Com graduate, Pavan is a recipient of the Karnataka Sangeet Nruthya Academy scholarship. He has accompanied many stalwarts of Carnatic music such as Vidwan AV Prakash, Vidushi Suma Sudheendhra, Vidushi Manasi Prasad and Pandit Praveen Godkhindhi.
