Event Description

Aanchal Bordoloi, an Assamese musician and songwriter, will be performing original compositions that she’s been writing since she was 19, at this Sunday’s RS Connect.

She writes all her songs in English, and is influenced by musicians such as Bob Dylan, Mumford and Sons, Lianne La Havas and Laura Marling. She enjoys folk-rock, country and Indie music (but doesn’t like to be limited to these genres). By nature, Aanchal is a very sensitive and emotional person, and likes to reflect this through her songwriting. Unrequited love and questioning gender norms in a patriarchal society are some things she likes to sing and write about.
