Event Description
Ranga Shankara will remember Girish Karnad on his birthday on Wed, 19 May '20, by putting up a video of a talk by the late playwright. This talk, in which he speaks about how some of his plays were born, was delivered by Karnad to inaugurate Ranga Shankara's annual festival of 2013. That year, the festival was dedicated to Karnad to commemorate his 75th birthday. The talk is in English.
The talk will be premiered on Ranga Shankara's YouTube channel at 5 PM on Wed, 19 May. It will stay there for repeat views subsequently.
The late Girish Karnad, one of modern India's most performed and decorated playwrights, would have turned 82 this year.
