The trio discover that their meeting point lies beauty of overlapping patterns and phrases amidst their diversity. In this performance they juxtapose patterns with poetry and let the rhythm of text and the music of patterns talk to each other.
About the Artists
Pallavi MD is a singer, composer, actor and filmmaker. She has been performing Kannada poetry for the last twenty eight years, and has won numerous awards for her work. She has performed jugalbandis with classical musicians, and has been a part of many fusion/ world music ensembles.
Bindhumalini Narayanaswamy is a singer and composer, constantly striving to play with the pure soul stirring power that music has. She has journeyed to various hamlets, cities and countries sharing the songs and poems of mystic saints. She has directed music for films in Tamil, Kannada and other languages, and won the National Award and Filmfare Award as Best Singer for the film Nathicharami.
Charu Hariharan is a versatile percussionist, singer, composer, and music producer. Known for her mastery of Mridangam, Konnakol, and world percussion instruments, she is a member of the World Folk Ensemble 'Varldens Band,' Charu's work includes MM Keeravani, AR Rahman, and Dubai’s Firdaus Orchestra
