We're back with our next 'Return to Theatre' offering - 'Tala Maddale', supported by the Goethe-Institut, Bangalore!

The Phatak Yaksha Samskruti Trust Karkala presents an evening of 'Tala Maddale', bringing to you Kavi Devidas's 'Bhisma Parva' in one of South India's most ancient and popular forms of storytelling and impromptu debate performance!

Directed by renowned senior Maddale practitioner, 'Bhagavata' expert, and Founder-Director of the Phatak Yaksha Samskriti Trust, A P Phatak, the performance also features veteran practitioners Kolagi Keshava Hegde (Bhagavataru), Prasanna Heggaru (Chende Vadakaru), and singers Shashanka Arnady, V Sankadagundy Ganapathi Bhat, V Umakanth Bhat, Ujira Ashoka Bhat, and Vasudeva Ranga Bhatta. A P Phatak and Kolagi Keshava Hegde also form the Himmela. 

Come immerse yourself in an evening of humour, sarcasm, philosophy, puns, and witty dialogues, presented in the rich oral tradition of Northern Karnataka's Badagutittu style of Tala Maddale!
