About the artist:

Born in 1961, Asma Menon is an acclaimed painter and printmaker with an MFA from the Government College of Arts and Crafts, Chennai. Over a career spanning more than 25 years, her work has appeared in over 10 solo exhibitions, 50 group shows, and auctions at Christie’s.

Menon’s art draws on myth and contemporary Indian life, combining ancestral influences with modern narratives. Beyond her studio practice, she has engaged with children’s art workshops, corporate training, and international residencies.

She is also the author of Moonlight Baby, a collection of short stories, and received a Senior Fellowship from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture (2005–2007).

Asma currently lives in Thiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, and is working on her next novel.
