Bangalore, get ready to own your pride🌈 Satrangi Mela is touching down at Indiranagar SOCIAL this Sunday, 4th September. Satrangi Mela is an all-inclusive, day-long queer festival celebrating art, music and sexuality. Curated by @meta_fair & @mitalibhasin, this Mela is going to be the most beautiful celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community, featuring queer-owned businesses, artists, and activities. We're also going to be showcasing a special theatre duo, “Polyamorous Polythene," which is an exploration and celebration of triumphant love, identity, and sexuality within a polyamorous relationship shared between plastic humanoids and a human body.

This showcase will be happening at the end of the night, so stick around with us till the end!

Live Performance

AKANKSHA DEV - @akkudev - is an artist/performer who has worked and trained primarily in movement, dance, and theatre. She's spent her life accumulating a vast number of theatrical skills from across the world. From classical Indian dance forms like Kathak, Bharatnatyam, and folk dances such as Chhau, Devarrattam, Garba-Dandia, she also trained in martial art forms such as Kalaripayyatu and Tai chi. She has spent time training in international formats such as ballet, Japanese Noh, Wayang Wong, and contemporary forms of theatre and acting in the Michael Chekov technique. Akanksha is currently exploring multimedia avenues in theatre and performance while expanding further into pure improvisation as one of her practices.

ROHIT - @fursat.mp3 - is an experimental musician and sound artist who, for the last 6 years has been a practitioner of improvised music using wind instruments, music synthesis, and sampling. Currently, he is incorporating the use of mobile apps and coded music in their performances, focusing on creating deep listening environments through sound & music. So, come spend your Sunday to be a part of this party!
