Event Description

Second Class Queer is a poignant solo play introducing Krishna, a queer Indian Malaysian man navigating a Berlin gay speed-dating event. Across five charged encounters, his vulnerability and the unresolved grief of never coming out to his late mother surface. Tracing a journey from Kuala Lumpur, the piece explores cultural heritage, masculinity, and the intersections of race and sexuality in a foreign land. With disarming humor, it confronts class, colorism, queerness, xenophobia, and homophobia through the dynamic lens of queer dating.

Presented By
Kumar Muniandy
