Event Description

Dive into a world of succinct beauty with haiku poet Prashant Sankaran, where every word paints a picture and every pause resonates with nature’s whisper. Uncover the art of capturing moments in just seventeen syllables. Join us at BIC Library for an evening of engaging with Haikus. Haiku is a form of poetry that originated in Japan and then gained popularity across the globe. It is constructed with just three lines and traditionally with a unique syllable structure. During the session, we will collectively learn a bit about Haiku, and its structure and study a few examples. We will also attempt to write some of them on our own and share them within the group.
