Shoonya Santoolan, a musical play involving movement and drama, explores the missing balance in the freedom between those who make rules and those who follow them in a society.
Kumudh, a newly married girl, is invited to a Kitty party, organized by all the women in the village. With all the fun, laughter and joy involved in the party comes a warning of the rules broken in the village from the rule makers. While Kumudh is confused about what is happening, the women find ways to get past the warning and protect themselves from the punishment.
Who made the rules? Who follows them? Who monitors them? And what happens if the rules are broken? Will the women fight back? Or will the rule makers curb their courage and continue their rule?
Shoonya Santoolan explores the concept of freedom in the human world. Freedom brings power, and the same power takes away freedom! Come find out who is in power and who's fighting to be free!
