Soapstone is a soft stone that can be carved into anything we want. It was made into utensils, like pots, pans and plates back in the day and used for cooking over a fire. you’ll specifically learn how to carve soapstone, a natural soft stone that can be shaped into beautiful pendants, earrings and more with minimal tools. You will learn the whole process of carving, sanding and oiling and see the magic reveal itself at the end.

Spend a morning experiencing your senses while learning all about soapstone but also rope making from plant fiber and age-old traditions.
