Event Description

This event (live streaming) is in memory of late Mr BN Yugandhar who passed away in 2019. Mr. Yugandhar who joined the IAS in 1962 was part of the Andhra Pradesh cadre and distinguished himself from his early days in service as a champion of the underdog who fought for social equity and justice for all. Later on as the Secretary of the Ministry of Rural Development in the Government of India, as a senior functionary in the Prime Minister’s Office, and as a member of the Planning Commission he continued to play a key role in shaping the policy of the government towards ensuring equitable social and economic development. This is his lasting legacy.

Prof Amita Dhanda and Mr. Sudhir Krishnaswamy will give independent talks on the subject followed by a discussion and Q&A.
