Event Description

Sri Lankan food, despite the proximity of the island, is still something of a well-kept secret. The Sri Lankan Food Festival at SOCIAL across Bangalore (Except Nagawara SOCIAL) showcases the unique cuisine of the island. At once robust and elegant, Sri Lankan food is a melting pot of the many influences that have come into play there - the traditions of its many indigenous communities, the Portuguese and Dutch colonizers and the traders who passed this way. The abundant seafood of the coast and unique local produce goes into dishes scented with spices the island is famed for and spicy with pepper and chilies. Like all island people, Sri Lankans love a good time.
