Event Description

Have you been scrolling past polymer clay jewellery on Instagram thinking “I could make that”, but have no idea where or how to start? Well, here’s your chance!

SOCIAL is hosting this intensive 3-hour long workshop on the occasion of World Environment Day. In this session led by @unbaked.shop, you’ll learn how to design and create a pair of polymer clay earrings from start to finish by covering the following techniques:
1. Conditioning clay & mixing of colours
2. Avoiding air bubbles to give your clay a smooth finish
3. Any one of these techniques - marbling, stencilling, terazzo, screen printing (based on student demand)
4. Baking your clay at optimum temperature
5. Creating your own packing card
6. Sanding, finishing and assembling your creation.

The following materials will be provided, that you can take back with you :
1. A multicolour pack of polymer clay
2. Earring hooks & jumprings
3. Acrylic roller & depth guides
4. Work surface

P.S. - This workshop is open to everyone!
But we've got limited spots, so book yours ASAP!!

Common materials such as cutters, blades, stencils etc will be provided for use only during the workshop. At the end of the session, you get to take back home a pair of earrings that you have created and above listed materials to continue your journey with polymer clay.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Samriddhi Balasubramaniam is the founder and one-woman show behind Unbaked (@unbaked.shop) - where she makes contemporary, handmade polymer clay & metal jewellery. Unbaked was one of the first few polymer clay jewellery brands to have started off in India in 2019 - with 1000+ satisfied customers and products available both in India and internationally as of today. Samriddhi believes that it is time for the accessories industry to move away from the use & throw culture of fast fashion and move towards meaningful, quality products. Spreading this knowledge through Unbaked and teaching is her way of achieving this goal.
