About Songfarers at Sea  Bindumalini, Pallavi and Vedanth, finding themselves at sea, sieve through songs and stories, looking for cues and directions to find ways to navigate through loss and hope, and to find the future they want to sail towards.   

About the Artists 

Pallavi MD is a singer, composer, actor, and filmmaker with a degree in Hindustani classical music. Known for performing Kannada poetry for 28 years, she has won awards including the META Best Actress, State Kempegowda, and Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar. Her work spans jugalbandis, fusion, and interdisciplinary collaborations, focusing on experimental projects.   

Bindhumalini Narayanaswamy is a singer and composer who blends classical roots with mystic poetry, performing across villages and international stages. She has directed award-winning music for films, continually expanding her craft and collaborations.   

Vedanth Bharadwaj is a versatile musician performing Bhakti and Sufi songs worldwide. Trained in Carnatic, Hindustani, and Western Classical music, he composes for dance, film, and leads the Chennai Children's Choir, which represented India in Washington, DC.
