About the Artists
Pallavi MD is a singer, composer, actor and filmmaker. She has been performing Kannada poetry for the last twenty eight years, and has won numerous awards for her work. She has performed jugalbandis with classical musicians, and has been a part of many fusion/ world music ensembles.
Bindhumalini Narayanaswamy is a singer and composer, constantly striving to play with the pure soul stirring power that music has. She has journeyed to various hamlets, cities and countries sharing the songs and poems of mystic saints. She has directed music for films in Tamil, Kannada and other languages, and won the National Award and Filmfare Award as Best Singer for the film Nathicharami.
Vedanth Bharadwaj is a multi-faceted, musician, specialising in singing and playing the songs of saint poets from the Bhakti and Sufi traditions. He has formally learnt Carnatic, Hindustani and Western Classical music. In addition to composing music for dance/ theatre productions, award winning feature films, advertisements, documentaries, and music albums, Vedanth is the co-director of Nalandaway's Chennai Children's Choir.
