Event Description

This musical concert is inspired by the poetry and philosophy of the 15th-century mystic poet, Saint Kabir. Original compositions and reimagined bhajans carry Kabir’s timeless words into a new sonic world, where folk instruments and Indian melodic traditions meet electronic textures, vocal harmonies, and unexpected percussion.

Everyday objects become instruments, and familiar sounds take on new forms, as the performance drifts between stillness and groove, meditation and momentum. Audiences are invited to listen, reflect, and sing along, becoming seekers themselves for an evening.

The Sadho Project
The ensemble is a Bengaluru-based quintet reimagining Indian sound through electronic innovation, blending traditional motifs, field textures, and ambient layers. Their music unfolds where the pulse of machines meets the soul of melody, creating space for reflection and transformation.

Vivaswath Rao
Composer, Music Producer & Singer
Vivaswath Rao is a singer, composer, and music producer trained in Hindustani and Western classical music. He has worked with artists including A. R. Rahman, L. Subramaniam, and Santhosh Narayanan. He is part of Sonic Minds, a Copenhagen-based audio branding agency, and holds a Master’s in Music from Royal Holloway, University of London.

Roopini Ravindran
Singer, Composer & MIDI Sound Effects
Roopini Ravindran is a singer-songwriter and music educator trained in Hindustani, Western, and Carnatic traditions. She holds an MA in Music Performance and Education from Kingston University, London, and has performed with artists such as A. R. Rahman at venues across India and the UK.

Kusumitha Vasanth
Singer
Kusumitha Vasanth is a vocalist trained in Carnatic, Hindustani, and Western music. She is an associate editor at The Indian Music Diaries and part of the artist management team at the Echoes of Earth festival. She holds an academic background in journalism from Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Aditi Bharatee
Pianist, Multi-instrumentalist & Singer
Aditi Bharatee is a music educator specializing in piano pedagogy and the Kodály Method. With a background in computer science and music technology, she has trained at the KM Music Conservatory and the Kodály Institute, Hungary, and is building her own music school, Echoes of Harmony Music House.

Anirudh Sharma
Tabla & Multi-percussionist
Anirudh Sharma is a Hindustani percussionist trained in tabla and pakhawaj who has performed across India. He holds multiple music degrees rooted in Indian classical and folk traditions and is currently pursuing a PhD in Indian Psychology.
