Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Mumbai and the Consulate General of Italy in Bengaluru present Sonic Ties, a fusion of Indian Carnatic tradition, European jazz, and contemporary electronic music. Featuring Bindhumalini on vocals, Enzo Favata on saxophone and electronics, Pramath Kiran on table and percussions and Fabio Giachino on keyboard, this collaboration is an artistic exchange that fosters long-term musical dialogue between India and Italy. The performance promises an evening of rhythm and cross-cultural synergy, showcasing the boundless possibilities of folklore and world music.
Following the success of Jugalbandi: The Crossing in 2023—a fusion of Mediterranean jazz and Indian classical raga—renowned Italian saxophonist Enzo Favata and acclaimed vocalist Bindhumalini Narayanaswamy continue their artistic journey, deepening the musical dialogue between Italy and India.

S G Pramath Kiran
Percussion
S.G. Pramath Kiran is a renowned percussionist from South India, trained in Indian classical music and skilled in instruments like tabla, dholak, djembe, congas, and cajon. A composer and sound engineer, he is the founder of Layatharanga, one of India’s leading world music bands, and a member of Chakrafonics, known for blending Kannada poetry with contemporary South Asian music. Pramath also founded Laya Digi, one of Bangalore’s premier studios for live recording and post-production.
