About the artists: Suma Hegde - Santoor She started her learning from her father, Shri G G Hegde, an eminent tabla player and also an instrument maker when she was 12. In 2009, when she got the opportunity to meet Pt. Shivkumar Sharma, she was put under the guidance of his senior disciple, Dr. Dhananjay Daithankar. She has been learning under his guidance for the past 11 years. She has performed across India in well-known festivals like Santoor Samaroh in Bhopal, Dharohar Music Festival in Banglore, and Swar Dhara concert in Mumbai to name a few.
