More than a gig, Sounds From The Library invites audiences into the creative lives of the artists; offering insight into their inspirations, processes, and personal journeys. With music that moves and conversations that linger, this is a rare chance to experience live performance in its most thoughtful form.
In collaboration with:
Performers
Chokamkuru Langneh
Alt-Rock, Indie-Pop & Alt-Indie.
Alt-Rock, Indie-Pop, Alt-Indie. These were the lesser known genres in the hills of Karbi anglong until Langneh’s breakout single “rong- aje” came around in 2019. Chokamkuru Langneh continues to be the youngest karbi indie artist to make a name for himself in the ever-growing music scene of India. With his debut album gaining attraction from all over the country, Langneh’s music is something you will feel like you’ve known over the years while at the same time being a complete stranger to his music.
Arjun C
Pop-Rock
Arjun C is a New Delhi and Gurugram-based indie artist who’s become a compelling voice in India’s modern music scene. With his band, he blends 80s nu-disco, synth-pop, alt-R&B, and nods to icons like Bappi Lahiri and Prince, creating a style that’s both playful and heartfelt. Ever since 2022 when his first single, Fairy Tale, was released Arjun C has kept pushing and exploring his own brand of guitar-led synth bops which has taken him all the way to an album titled ‘Sense of Human’.
Jishnu Dasgupta
Bass Guitarist & Manager, Swarathma
Jishnu Dasgupta is the bass guitarist and manager for acclaimed folk rock band Swarathma whose discography includes songs about river conflicts, politics, media, child sexual abuse, personal journeys, as well as celebrations of love. A musician with a business management past, Jishnu was a marketing professional with ITC Limited before making the switch to being a high-energy performer, anchoring Swarathma’s engaging concerts with sensitivity and wit. He is also a scuba-diver and full-time dad to his two sons, Alaap and Abir.
